Seminar on Rural Leases with Environmental Clauses (BRE) in Montpellier

Organized by the Federation Terre de Liens, the Federation des Conservatoires d’espaces naturels and the Conservatoire d’espaces naturels d’Occitanie, as part of LIFE Biodiv’Paysanne, this seminar aimed to put the subject of the BRE back on track. The discussions focused on the practice of the BREs in the two networks, the advantages, the constraints, the choice of environmental clauses and the monitoring and evaluation of this tool. This day allowed us to mix the different approaches and to end at improvement strategies. The final objective is to create a working group entirely dedicated to this subject, which is now being finalized and which will make a presentation at the next CEN congress in La Rochelle in a workshop dedicated to land property.
